The Youth Science Forum in 2014 will be held in Keszthely, the picturesque town on the shore of Lake Balaton in Hungary. The Youth Science Forum is a scientific meeting for young researchers and PhD students working in the fields of agricultural research in the Central-European Region. The main goals of the meeting are to provide a venue to share new experimental methods and to introduce new scientific results as well as gaining experience in scientific presentation skills and building scientific networks. The official languages of the conference are English and Hungarian; oral presentations are either in English or Hungarian, while poster presentations are in English.

The scientific sections – with the help of experienced chairs and co-chairs – will provide an excellent opportunity for young scientists to present their new findings as well as improving their presentation skills. The 6-page- full papers of the oral and poster presentations will be published in English in the proceedings of the Forum (supplied with ISBN).

The planned sections are the following:
1. Animal Sciences
2. Plant Sciences
3. Food Sciences
4. Economics
5. Rural Development and Tourism
6. Agricultural Engineering
(The final session schedule will be developed based on the number of participants and topics of presentations.)

Venue: University of Pannonia, Georgikon Faculty, Building „D”
Address: Festetics str. 7, H-8360 Keszthely, Hungary

Participation is free of charge (including registration, conference, dinner on Friday, 23 May and a hard copy of the Proceedings). Participants are asked to organize their own accommodation. A list of accommodation opportunities will be available on the conference website.
